Aliceara Tropic Tom
Oncidium hybrids and intergenics were some of the best represented genera at the New York Orchid show this year. There were giant sprays of these blooms absolutely everywhere throughout the greenhouses. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did.

ReplyDeleteGreat plants and great photographs!
ReplyDeleteThe unlabeled intergeneric is probably Odontonia Papageno 'Mi Amour' or one of the other Odontonia Papageno cultivars.
That's a really good guess. I looked so long for the tag, because I really liked those flowers, but couldn't find anything in the vicinity.
DeleteConcurring with both Lisa and Anonymous! Thank you, Maria. I have linked this post to mine at https://queenslandorchid.wordpress.com/2014/07/09/culture-sheet-oncidium-intergeneric-dancing-lady-orchids/

how do you get a Odontoglossum catatante 'Kilauea Karma' to re-bloom? It was given as a gift to us in full bloom about 1-1/2 years ago. It has not bloomed since, no spikes or otherwise any sort of flowers at all. It is feed with liquid orchid food every 2 wks, in a bright lite window, mild temperatures day and night, no direct sun, in side house. Thanks for suggestions, Mike in Gilroy California 1-26-2015
ReplyDeleteMine needs higher light than my cattleyas. I would try gradually increasing the light exposure. Mine are in a bright south window with an added 14 hours of grow light and are reblooming a year after I received it. It was at the end of it's bloom cycle when I received it.
DeleteWow, that's an eye candy!!
ReplyDeleteWhere they came from so anyway?
ReplyDeleteThanks for writing thhis
